This Incredible HD Vintage Film Shows NY Yankees' Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig in Batting Practice, 1931

This incredible vintage film from 1931 shows New York Yankees players Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig during batting practice in a smooth 60fps framerate. Restored by YouTuber and historian Guy Jones, the short HD film was made possible due to the slow-motion captures of old Fox Movietone sound cameras which were very technologically advanced for their time.

On April 11, 1931, Fox Movietone sound cameras made slow-motion captures of Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig at batting practice during an exhibition practice in Brooklyn, New York. With modern technology, we can witness this footage adjusted to a normal speed which results in a very high framerate. I've also included more footage of the practice (shot at typical fps) and the original un-edited slow-mo captures.
