New Renderings Released of Brooklyn Bridge Park's Pier 5 Uplands Development

The on-shore area of Brooklyn Bridge Park's Pier 5 is the last remaining undeveloped section of the park, but plans are underway to develop it into more communal green space. Check out this new rendering from Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates showing the forthcoming development of the Pier 5 uplands.

Now, we have a glimmer of what that 4.5-acre piece of parkland might look like when it’s completed later this year. Brooklyn Bridge Park Corporation released a new rendering of Pier 5 that shows off many of the section’s new features, including a sound-dampening berm that’s currently the most visible part of the uplands.
