The Green Line, a New Urban Planning Proposal That Wants to Turn Broadway Into a Giant Park

The "Green Line" is an ambitious proposal from Perkins Eastman Architects that would convert the 40+ block length of Broadway from Union Square to Columbus Circle into a linear park traversing Manhattan.

The Green Line would create a more than 40-block long park for pedestrians and cyclists that would connect many of the city's famous public spaces – including Union Square, Madison Square, Herald Square, Times Square, and Columbus Circle.
