Mural Paying Tribute to David Bowie Pops Up in Nolita

A new mural has popped up in Nolita that pays tribute to late musician David Bowie who passed away earlier this week.

The outpouring of grief and gratitude in the wake of David Bowie’s death is heartbreaking. The artist, musician, and all around rock symbol, died last Sunday at 69 after a highly secretive eighteen-month bout with liver cancer.…The artwork features a crying Bowie in the token face-paint, but also uses shadows to portray his other personas.

You can see the mural in person at the corner of Mott and Kenmare.
