The New York City Department of Transportation announced yesterday that the American flags have been restored to the top of the Brooklyn Bridge. For those of you who don't remember, the flags were
stolen last August and replaced with all white "surrender" flags. After a brief City-wide panic about security, the flags were returned shortly thereafter.

Even though the original flags were returned, it appears that the City installed brand new ones instead of the returned one, presumably soiled by the hands of thieves.
